The Making of ‘Scenes of a Sexual
Nature’
A unique two day course on how a film with a budget
of only £260k
attracted a-list actors and gained a nationwide release.
‘I love the fact that they cut out all the middle
men’ Ewan McGregor
Learn how ‘Scenes of a Sexual Nature’ was made for
only £260K, yet starred amongst others Ewan McGregor and Catherine
Tate. The raising of finance, attaching an A-list cast and shooting
the entire 90 minute film, took less than six weeks.
Over one weekend this February the director,
producers, and heads of department are giving a two-day course
explaining how it was done. The course will outline one clear but
adaptable model on how to successfully produce, shoot, edit and
distribute a low budget film.
Meet the Producers, Casting Director, Director of
Photography, Editor, Lawyer and Investors. They will be available
to answer questions throughout the weekend.

No. 7 in the Box Office!
Scenes of a Sexual Nature debuted at No. 7 at the
weekend box office for all English-language films against
heavy-weights and "major players" in the industry. Clearly the best
British newcomer (and the No. 2 British film at the box office)!

Cannes
We had a fantastic turnout at all three screenings of the film. At the first two showings over thirty people were turned away from the cinema. Even our last screening at 9.30am on the Tuesday was full.
'Screen International' mentioned this was one of the British films which had a 'buzz' about it and The Hollywood Reporter noted that 'Scenes' was 'one of the hottest tickets at the market'.
